1. Yes. At any time for any reason
2. Ask
3. I doubt it, but its entirely possible that they would work you until 2000 on the outbound dock and then bring you in at 0400 to do a linehaul run or a drop and hook.
4. You do whatever, whenever.
The guaranteed pay sounds good. Know that it usually takes a couple of years of 'paying your dues' to make it sweet.
That said, honestly it really looks like a good gig. Go for it.

Ya they just cancelled my interview at R+L in Vegas she said they filled the position internally. I can't find any other line haul company in Vegas hiring right now. OD, FXF, saia, Estes. None have open positions. Guess I'll just hang out in my current dead beat job for now. Unless anyone else knows of company's in Vegas that do line haul I'm not aware of

It's the wrong time of the year, bro. You would have gotten seriously screwed had you jumped in now. Wait until February or March. You'll get your job. Good Luck.Gearjammin' Penguin Thanks this.

Yes hold it down just a bit longer. I found out when I got hired that these LTL hire from within. They have their own schools and everything.

It's crazy they would post ads on LinkedIn and indeed while actively recruiting with in as well. Instead of just having it internally for a set time and then going outside when it's not filled internally. But it's the trucking industry so I'm not surprised. I had already taken the afternoon off at current job and planned for it. Just to be told 4 hours before interview they filled it internally. Lost money and didn't even get interview but whatever. Just going to do like mentioned before and try again in a few months. Hopefully get lucky and make it to the interview. Just have to be patient I guess.celticdriver23 and Speed_Drums Thank this.

Dude, so OD posted the position I’m in last January 3, I believe. I applied and got a call from the recruiter immediately, had information sent to the terminal manager, and then heard nothing, BUT my application was still active, so I knew it hadn’t been filled. I just waited. It’s about the best driving job someone can get around here, so I stuck it out where I was, and figured I would hear something eventually.
Dude finally called me around mid-March! I got the job, and didn’t start until May 1!
So yeah, just an idea of how long it can take, but if that’s what you have eyes on, don’t settle for something else. Hang in there.Speed_Drums, Opus, rollin coal and 3 others Thank this. -
@Tripp_84 It took me about 2-3 months to get fully onboard at XPO. Patience is the name of the game here.
Both Monday and Tuesday I had 12hr days, with 12 drops and 5-6 pickups. Did some driving as well, covered around 350 miles round trip.MACK E-6, Speed_Drums and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this. -
That’s not a bad bit of running.
