With this type of operation, tractors are often equipped with pintle hooks for that purpose.

I'm not sure on the distance. We live 30 miles out so it never came up. Yes the wild teams are 5 out and 2 home. It may be Sunday Monday, Saturday Sunday, or Friday Saturday. It depends on the need at your terminal.

Yes we have pintle hooks in back of trailer. Only have to lift high enough about a foot to hook it.

If I can handle it I think anyone can. Let's just say I'm not in top physical condition. I just watched one of our female drivers unhook and re hook faster than I can.

If you come across a dolly without spare on back, dont try to lift it. The spare is also a counter weight to lessen the weight up front. You can easily hurt your back without spare on dolly.

Don't know if I mentioned it in previous posts on here. Each terminal pays based on the average pay in your area. I've been told they take an average of the top 5 paying LTL companies. So a terminal in one city may pay more than another. Check with your terminal manager at interview. Also your terminal needs to have a job opening for you to apply. Rlcdrivers. com

Update. They changed our days off from Saturday/Sunday to Sunday/Monday. Our run stays the same though. Same pay and same amount of time off. It actually works better since we can schedule any appointments on Monday and don't have to take a day off.

Oh that's nice!:D That is what the terminal manager told us our days off will be. Sundays & Mondays. Yes, It's good because then you can schedule some appointments and get some business taken care of if needed.

    IndianaMike Thanks this.

90 percent of the teams are off Sunday Monday. Guess we were the exception.
