I have read through many threads to find an answer but no luck so hopefully someone can help....
I’ve been trucking for 8+ years and currently hauling oversized, my husband on the other hand is just now going through the process of getting his Cdl.
He wants to jump on a company that offers CDL training and ultimately run teams.
What is the best option as far as companies go to run OTR as teams?

A husband wife team is among the most valued in the industry. Be very careful who you both sign on with.

Which state does your husband live in? If we know, we can advise on which trucking company schools hire from his area.

Tell him to go get his CDL. and 6 months experience.

Then go to ODFL and team at 225k/year.

Save up and buy your own truck and specialized trailer.

    Go to Landstar.

I know - sounds like a lot of work, huh?!

If you do ever think about it; put the albatross in a sleeping bag with about 4 unopened bags of Quikrete cement and zip it up tight. Throw in lake or river. Don't throw in swamp or Everglades because alligators will drag it up on shore. You're welcome!

Speaks to relations inside that cab. It's about the total size of a modest walk in closet. Two people in there unable to get out well... for some it wont work well.

Spouse and I had a rule which was taught me back when Moses traveled out of Egypt according to some of the wags here in this site (He he) was when one is angry, that one needs to go into the sleeper zip the curtains and find peace any way they can. Because it is not for the captain in the drivers seat to be also angry not with 40 ton at highway speed.

We have gotten used to telling where we can stick it when we get outraged enough. But it's all good. Forget the Hudson, watch out for that East River.

He has been on the road with me for weeks at a time. Believe me we had to test it out before even thinking of the idea of teaming. We do really well on the road together.
