Construction has been well underway on this stretch of 20 for some time now and is down to one lane. Seems a lot of drivers still don't know how to read the signs that say to use the I-220 by-pass. According to the LADOT, there have been over 100 truck accidents in this area due to the narrow lanes. I've seen many on the ramps with blown tires and damaged rims. State troopers are handing out tickets. Not sure what all is on it but I'm sure one is failure to obey a traffic control device. One driver thus far has actually been arrested for blocking the construction zone. They now have cameras in place to capture your tractor license plate. Best to heed the warning and go around. I hear the fine ain't cheap.

Many drivers mindlessly follow GPS even if it tells them to drive off a cliff.
