A good customer in OKC shut down that operation during the downturn, consolidating to other locations. Now other customers are starting to move equipment to far flung locations from OKC. In the last few months I have made dozens of long hauls to NM, CO, ND, WY, WV, and OH.

    It's definitely getting crazy busy.

What were you pulling @110k? Safe to say its not your usual pipe loads.

Some of the steepest roads I've been on were off of Ohio rt 7 down along the river. Oh255 and 566 come to mind

It was a "Gorilla Pump", with a 6500 horsepower diesel engine. Three axles on the trailer. The tractor was a Peterbilt, with 550 horsepower, but with a DPF that was in serious need of baking or replacement and a 13 speed that had a nonfunctioning splitter. Three regens to get from OKC to WV. That was a "drive away" job.

I'll be happy to get my own truck out of the shop tomorrow.

Maryland has a little of everything. We have the flat lands over on the eastern shore, and the mountains out on the west end with few nice hills out there.

Eastern Iowa has its fun ones, too, 52, Southeast of where I live was graded originally with horses, and is now better than it was in 2005, but there are some 8% grades from Dubuque to Bellevue, which I haven't had a reason to take, yet.
