You had better calm down. If you don't like the opinions of the other members, you can put them on "Ignore" and you won't see anymore of their posts. But keep up with the attitude and you will be gone.

Trucker61016, xlsdraw and bzinger Thank this.

Down in GA, I get either a full week of work or my dispatcher only has crappy jobs 3/5 days for me. No in between. Then again, I suspect that my dispatcher is sending me on crappy jobs because she’s prioritizing her trucks and her wallet.

Go back and read my post, I didn’t say all owner operators run raggedy equipment. I said the owner operators who run raggedy equipment and don’t want to get burned during the blitz week, take the week off.

    Carry on.

Yeah I think her and her husband own a micro fleet of dump trucks and have drivers for them, and they also dispatch for maybe 4 O/O, myself included. It’s tough AF to find a decent dispatcher that doesn’t do the same, and I have a steel body so I cannot get govt asphalt jobs so I’m even further limited with what she does send me on. Kinda stuck rn. Especially with the ups and downs with jobs, I don’t know that I’ll ever make much of a profit but this is what I wanted to do.

As far as answering the OP's original post...like the old saying goes... location location location. I work for a company that hauls a lot of aerospace, but lately I haven't been in the areas where our usual customer's freight is manufactured or warehoused so it's been haul a load, sit for a 34, haul a load, sit for a 34. Granted, they have been longer mile loads, but still, there is a longer wait between loads. (Brain fart part of this post of mine has been removed due to my not being able to read a calendar that early)
