    Looking at that first photo, I'd think it would be possible to BACK into the culvert if you approached it from the bottom of the picture. You'd probably have to maneuver your steer tires across some grass on the other side, but steer tires aren't as likely to get stuck in the dirt as drives or trailers will..

    I do it often... not a huge deal. just have to be smart about it, know how to use your equipment, take your time and scope it out and back in when possible.

    Here is a jobsite I did recently. It looked sketchy from the road so I got out and walked it first. Backed in slowly to get a feel for the ground quality, and everything worked out fine.
