I know this sounds like I'm bragging, and there's some truth to that. I also want to show what's possible if you work hard and find a niche. My previous years that I tracked were $2.12 and $2.10. Let's hear how you all did!

Haven't done the number yet........But im going to be around the $2.10 mark.. all miles

    Congratulations on $2.50.....Thats a Good accomplishment! :biggrin_25519:

(Now keep in mind Uncle Sam)... its all about what you put in your savings account...Not so much your average $ per mile...

    Now THATS a Niche!

Over all for all the trucks my fleet average was right at $2.50 / mile with a very decent BOTTOM LINE otherwise would no longer be business as no one likes to operate at a loss

That's an awesome number for a fleet. I can only imagine what I could get up to if I lived in the Midwest or did regional cross border stuff.

Well done. Now let's see how many of these new drivers are just going to look at the title of this thread and figure that they can do the same and either jump into a fleece purchase or go out and buy a truck.

Now keep in mind..........It isnt so much as in what you average per year per mile......

Its what you put in your wallet that counts!

Guys runnin' 100,000 miles @$2.50 per mile will get you $250,000.........

is it worth it only making $50-60k After your through ?

Got some local guys here in chicago......Making $130-$150k per year gross......Maybe 150 miles a day...Home every night

they are making a lot more Bottom Line cash..........

I've been researching a while, and this is what I want to hear - my plan is LS, cash truck and skateboard, and I'm freehold on the home front. I've seen too many threads whining about low rates . . .

A lot do not realize that it takes the $4.00 / mile stuff to help offset the $1.50 / mile stuff to get a decent average.

Had a newbie flatbedder this morning call looking for a load to get him to a good $ pickup 400 miles away. As soon as I said container he hung up , he never heard the (2) empty 20 Footers for $1.25 / mile each for $2.50 per mile + FSC loading 5 miles from his location and delivering 10 miles from his next pickup.

$2.10 and $2.12 were great - what boosted it to .38-.40 higher last year? Was this the year all the hard work at building contacts paid off?

    Congratulations.
