Well guys, looks like I'm not gonna go local.. I had a road test for SEFL and didn't even get past the straight back part.. (I was rusty and wasn't used to doing it without the cone reference, haven't driven since December 8th)

Yup I suck.. Well they told me they'll see how the other guy does and they'll call me Thursday, but unless he can't get out of first gear it doesn't look good for me.... And this was for a trainee position...

Anyway I'm in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia and I'm looking for a decent company to start out with (I know a million of these threads are made)

I could go with TFC Recycling, but their starting pay is abysmal...

    So far my list is:

    TMC
    TransAM
    Albeline

    Any other suggestions??

Depends on what type of trailer you want to pull and how often you want to be home. TMC is a great company and you should be home most weekends. Most flatbed companies will have weekend home time. Good pay too, but you'll work for it.

Hahaha Chinatown is always on it. Abilene should be paying you, as often as you recommend them.

Right now they stay toward the top of my list for newbies, but that could change in the future if management doesn't keep up the good work.

Yeah narrow it down to what type first, flatbed reefer or van. Then more companies open up.

Forgot to mention that I have all my endorsements and not afraid of going tanker (except for fuel hauling)

All those mentioned hire new cdl grads. Some websites aren't up to date and may have "experience required" so ignore that and apply anyway.
