I'll omit my personal opinion here. And, provide you with as much "verbatim" as I can recall. His reasons for disliking WS, and wanting to leave.

    Please remember...his words, not mine.

#1 He drives a Volvo, Volvos suck.

#2 He has a 13 speed. They suck, he wants a 10 speed.

#3 He wants a Peterbuilt, they're great. Especially the extended hoods.

#4 His truck will only run 66 mph.

#5 His truck will not pull a hard grade at 75 mph grossing 79k like his old W-9 would.

#6 A Peterbuilt has a smoother ride than his POS Volvo.

#7 He had 1200 miles to go, and only had 22 hours left on his 70. If he had a 75 mph truck, he could have run over 4000 miles this week. Instead of 3600 he was going to have in 6 days.

    #8 Volvos suck ;)

BTW, I got another one (truck) this week. I miss my Volvo already.

Danc694u do your thoughts run along the lines of "this guy is not a truck driver, he needs to go back to McDonalds"????????????????

These were my thoughts, what a goober. Trucking IS NOT a perfect world, get used to it.
He'll never be happy ANY where he might try to get a job.

Actually, my thoughts run along the last sentence of your post. Will he be happy with ANY job?

As a rule, I try to cut any conversation as short as possible when dealing with people like this guy. This one lasted about 15 minutes. And was like listening to a broken record. The conversation "always" came back to his opinion of the Volvo he was driving, and how slow it was. And his need for a faster truck.

We all know the type ;) I used to be there too. Our theme song -- Alabama -In a Hurry (to get things done)

"I rush and rush till life's no fun"

4,000 miles in a week, hmmm he just wants to run as fast as he can illegally huh??? The world seems to be in a safer place if he stayed in the Volvo:yes2557:
Just my humble opinion. Just because the truck can go 80 doesn't mean you can drive 80.

Actually Logs, in this guy's case, I say let the Jerk run 80 all the time.

He'll rack up the tickets and, voila!, one less a-hole trucker on the road!
