alright, im curious
what about w/s are you unhappy about?
i know the reason a buddy of mine quit, but i also know a few who are very happy there, so please satisfy my curiousity and reply -
About WS; it is sad how dispatch has a lot to do with driver retention. Many dispatchers don't have what it takes to handle their job in such a way as to keep drivers smiling.
Now, that is a tough job, but not impossible as I have had both good and bad dispatch when I was a company driver.
Company policies make some companies real bad places for drivers to work, but usually it is dispatch or operation supervisor decisions that cause the problems.
Be safe out there pal. Keep the dirty side down, the sunny side up and don't feed the bears! -

i figured it was a dispatch thing...thats why my buddy quit...bad dispatcher who wouldnt let him run 60 miles home to get his debit card replaced.....in the long run it would have been a 8 miles diferance than his original route ( bozeman to missoula)
lucky....im here tonite as the truck was leaking and i ran outta hours waiting on the shop....knowin my luck ill be back late next week...lol....definatly gonna hafta have anouther glass of tea -
Leave a message in the am if you catch this and when I get up, I may just run out there for coffee, tea or anything but buttermilk. -
I never saw Mondovie for almost two years after that. I guess I was not the first to climb all over that "boy"! The bad thing about standing up for your rights, you get a reputation after a while and then it is time to go. I was with them for five years. -
Obviously, some things are differant for others. It works that way everywhere I've been. I haven't had any issues with dispatch (yet), that haven't been resolved.
It did take a about a month to get one "trained" as to what was expected. Nothing PO's me more, than sitting for hours (two or more) waiting for a load that was ready to be picked up right away.
I don't really understand the out of route comment though ??? I look at it...then I go whichever way I want. I just pulled a load OOR to go back to the house (the opposite direction) to get some paperwork I'd left at home.
With that said, I was only 20 miles OOR on an 800 mile run. I already knew the shortest and fastest route. W&S routing is very liberal IMO, and I typically can beat it every time.
But I also have 4 differant versions of mapping software and 2 GPS units as of today. My wife bought me the latest Delorme for our anniversary. It's not the Bible, but it does help sometimes in the city. -
Have you discussed your issues with Macon? If not, start there. He's really an easy guy to talk to. He has helped me resolve a few minor issues, rather quickly too.
You have to consider, this comment is coming from a guy that is a complete @$$hole when I think I'm right, or pi$$ed.
