NDF is an OTR position. And now I've learned some new things. My problems didn't start until I got on that account and it's really annoying that I quit just before hitting a year but I don't regret it. I'm glad I got out before something else went wrong and the fastest way to go was to just go. I wasn't about to wait around for them to maybe take me off that account in a few weeks. And I wasn't about to fight with them for better treatment. They were making my life miserable.
I can't say for sure I'll find everything wrong with the truck and trailer but now I know. Don't drive if it's not legal, or be ready for the consequences. Maybe that will be not worth it with this new guy, but he's moving multiple loads a day everyday. -
Oh man sweetie pie is 6 4 and has an Adam's appleIamoverit, Walk Among Us and 77fib77 Thank this.

NOT TRUE!

He is simply showing you the items/conditions you need to check for/repair in/from your own pre-trips -- in this case, for flatbed (which I gather is what you'll be doing with this alleged carrier).
The procedure shown in the video is for a "level 2" inspection within the state of Indiana (& not Nevada); in your case...given your prospective carrier's inspection rap sheet history -- you would definitely need to be ready for a "level 1" inspection -- which is much longer & more thorough.
To avoid having your CDL career shot in the head -- when this level-1 DOT inspection finally comes (& we all bet it will -- & soon enough)...the million-dollar question is: will you be TRULY ready?!?

Except there are people every single day who pass inspections. You’re simply trying to justify going to work for a carrier with subpar equipment by saying we are all in the same boat, and we’re not.

The traffic in Utah County is ust as bad as SLC these days.
Never failed an inspection .
If it was not right it did not roll
However it seemed I was always fixing something or washing.D.Tibbitt, Chi Town Steers and lual Thank this. -
I don’t know what the story is on this trooper showing up there to do this, but if it’s a regular thing they do out there then that’s a good service provided by the ISP. Too bad MD troopers don’t do that, at least not that I’m aware of.Sons Hero, 77fib77 and Chi Town Steers Thank this.

Correct -- no, we're not.

Part of the proof of this is in the aforementioned FMCSA ISS score -- described in detail in an earlier post, above.
-- LChi Town Steers Thanks this. -
The newer scales give the office, tread depth, tire inflation, brake adjustment all by infrared cameras. Its means actually cheking your equipment. If it passes your inspection it should pass theres.
hope not dumb twucker, wulfman75 and Chi Town Steers Thank this.
