I just took my CDL A exam this morning and passed. The anxiety the past two days was a battle, for various reasons I will not bore anyone with, but I conquered it. :biggrin_25517:

Had a perfect score on the Pre-Trip, passed the Air Brake(one can only Pass or Fail), perfect score on Backing maneuvers and scored 7 points against me during the road test (30 points max allowed before failure).

    So I am now officially a n00b! :biggrin_25525:

Thanks to all of you who contribute here on TTR and make it easier for someone to learn and better able to understand the industry and truck driving! :salute:

Thanks! That reminds me of driving the HWY yesterday, a 4 wheeler was out in front signaling a right turn and taking their sweet time taking the turn, I said out loud "get your ### off the road already!", my instructor turned and said " well I see did at least one thing right!". Had to laugh!

Don't get excited, I make no claim to being a trucker, merely a n00b CDL holder, heck, I still have to find someone willing to hire me!

Keep a check on the anxiety. The real pressure starts now.
Relax, and think all your decisions through.

Just don't over think it all. Good luck.

    Alaska76 Thanks this.

    Yes, thank you.

I should clarify it was pre-test and test day anxiety, I don't have to battle the anxiety while out on the road, or otherwise, any longer, thankfully.

A few miles behind the wheel, a couple of different trailers, one or two mistakes and one day you'll ask yourself has already been 30 yrs. Congrats & run it cool.
