Wow, after almost 2 years I returned to Ohio in a truck. Last 2 years, I have been almost exclusively traveling in NY and PA only.

I do 72-75mph 90% of the time I am running on expressways in NY and PA. I am usually passing cars, able to change lanes, and easily staying out of conflict.

Now I enter into awful ohio, across 90 then down to columbus, then over to wheeling. Wow it takes forever, and at 62mph it is IMPOSSIBLE to take the left lane to give room to disabled cars, cops, ramping traffic, and pass slower trucks.

Three different occasions I took the left lane to give room to a roadside tax collector and all three times it took a mile to get back into the right lane as the #%#$%#$% morons in cars were passing me on the right.

Too much conflict is caused by going that slow, once I got empty it was easier, as the 550cat will really get out of its way when passing.

It took so long to drive it though, 6hrs or so to drive it, added an extra hour, to drive it...

Anyone who claims going slower is less fatiguing is out of his mind....how is it more tiring to do the same work in less time???

You pay way more attention when you drive faster, your brain stays awake.

Unfortunatly I live here in Ohio the arm pit of the United States. I so agree I have seen the difference and the faster my Hubby runs the wider his eyes. Anything under 70 is like watching paint dry.
