I was there last week. Along with bus loads of European tourists. Needless to say I ran to the bathroom.

In Mt Pleasant TX at the Thermo King dealer with another round of refrigerant leak finding. If these things come in threes this ought to be it. Second time lasted a full three weeks before now. I managed to put together an okay pair of loads that would have had me motoring for a few days. Those will nearly certainly be gone when I'm back cooling again. Always a bright side however. This morning I delivered a load that had been running on continuous since Friday afternoon with no signs of trouble. Reefer breakdowns are always better when the van is MT. And I'm deep in Pilgrim's Pride territory, so always some recently deceased birds to take somewhere.

I am still not sure which is worse for getting product on or off the truck in a timely manner: Dead animals, Veggies, or grocery DCs.

All those operations run terribly inefficient from my perspective.

Truck was a'rockin' but I'm alone so I opened the curtain....

Waiting here in Dayton, TN. They want to get me up near Erie, PA since we have a customer in Meadville that uses double decker trailers and I'm pulling one.

We did reefer... Veggies and produce. Glad I got the experience, but don't miss any of it.

Some of our friends love doing reefer loads because they say its freight is good year round.

Got my 2 stops off at those USFoods in Swedesboro NJ this morning. Now sitting up at Halls Wharehouse in South Plainfield NJ getting loaded for tomorrow up near Cleveland. The appt is for 6 am... Told dispatch I would need a codriver to get that done. I was up at 5am made a 630 and 1200 appt (was a done at 1200) and have a 1700 appt here at halls. I should be loaded by 1700.... Just won't be in Cleveland by 6... Those pesky 14 hr clocks and 10 hr breaks.... Dispatch saw the err of their ways.... Trying to reschedule now....

I know it's quite different than the produce you reefer heads haul but a few months back I ran a load of potatoes out of Florida to Frito lay in Georgia that process was in retry slick on both ends. My vote is the groceries are the worst. Lots of canned veggies coming out of my area, I swear god kills a kitten every time I get one of those loads.

When there's plenty o chip stock already dug&the plant is in heavy production it can go very smooth....but when there's 50 trux in line&still diggin...it ain't so quick&then the plant is puttin in storage &not in a hurry the trl on tipper for 2-3 hrs....then not so fun......course since it pays by weight....can be very lucrative.....lits of the folks up this way ONLY do chip stock and do very very well.....
Home fer couple o days playin w/motorcycles.....
