You need a well researched business plan. Some clear goals. There is a plethora of information here that can help you.

Depending on your age - keep in mind that investing $100k in an IRA at 7% will turn it into $200k in 10 years.

Now is not the golden time in trucking as I'm sure you're well aware.

 

If you take the 100k, and purchase a truck outright, how much cash will you have on hand, at that point?
