So you've been around trucks for 20 years and you dont know how to drive them around curves and you dont know the regs on steer tire tread depth?

Who helps you get dressed in the morning?

IH Truck Guy, 7-UP, 1951 ford and 2 others Thank this.

    And what else...????

A dry 5th wheel. Been noticing a lot of bob tails with rust on the 5th wheel.

A dry 5th wheel will cause a 1/2 tracking effect as my kinfolk called it. Makes it harder for the steer tires to do their job and extra wear.

That's true ... forgot about that, dragging brakes also has an effect.

How many miles are on the truck? Sounds like worn bushings on the back end.

I can tell you that Crete would pull that low tread steer and swap it with one that has tread closely matching the other tire.

I can tell you that because they did it for me when I was a company driver.
