"I was a dispatcher for some trucking company, now I wanna open my own brokerage. Which is the best book to buy, so I can learn everything, stay at home and make crap load of money?"
There are bunch of these threads also. Or on some other forums you will see smth like "I want to code and create my own iPhone app, so I can make lots of $$$, which coding bootcamp is the best to go to, so I spend just a little amount of time and money".
So now stop posting useless threads and go back to " rates in toilet"HalpinUout, haycarter, rachi and 2 others Thank this. -

fordconvert and G13Tomcat Thank this. -
My first 6 months as an owner op my Net worth raised 55,000 dollars and that wasn't even a good 6 months as I had a bunch of start up costs and repair bills getting my old truck baselined. Also I took a 2 week vacation to Philadelphia for my sisters wedding,a 2 week vacation to CA for my nephews birth and just got back from a 2 week vacation to CA for Christmas with the family. Also spent 4 grand furnishing my apartment. I always fly first class. I became an owner op with just under 2 yrs experience.
I also put down a little over 81,000 miles in those 6 months. It's not a get rich quick scheme, but their is opportunities for those with the brains, luck and most importantly drive to get the job done right on time everytime.Last edited: Jan 1, 2016

We need to be encouraging future owner operators. We're a dying breed as it is. Their is great money and opportunities to be had in owning your own business if your willing to do what it takes to make it succeed. As I've said in other threads this is a meritocracy. If you have the drive to rise above the rest you will have the opportunity as an owner operator.
