Retirement can be a mixed bag.
It's difficult to go from working 40 or 50 years to nothing to do.
Hopefully you have something to keep you busy and interested.
That said, getting out of bed whenever the mood strikes me is a pretty big plus.
    Congratulations, @Frank Speak

Congratulations enjoy it!!! I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully retire. No way I’ll be able to just live off of Social Security and up until recently. I never did the 401(k) or Roth IRA. I have them now, but I’m looking at retirement in 10 to 12 years. Assuming I still have my health, when I retire, I’ll probably end up doing some hobby type things on the side to make some income. I do have a small mother-in-law type building that I could rent out for a little additional income.

don’t wait, do all the things you’ve wanted to do and savor every moment. I think when a lot of people retire, they spend the first few years basically sitting. Not good, you want to stay active.

Oh, I have plenty to do. Golf, fish, golf, fish, and, of course, chase Kentuckians.

And, besides, we all know Chasin’ Kentuckians…

“ain’t got no end… yes, plenty of work to do in Kentucky.”

congrats on the retirement, and YES, you will be busier now that you will have so much time for all those "honey do" items you either put off, or forgot about.

your hobby(s) will get in the way of your "do list", so much so, you are going to want to go, back to a real paying job....

    enjoy your short retirement.

    best times ahead..!!!!
