Brought the truck to Freightliner on Tuesday before I left because bunk heater wasn't firing....and considering I'm going to be running the northeast for 2 weeks I figured I should have a working heater. Another poster here on another thread mentioned it was probably the fuel pump....which it was...but part won't be in till Tuesday so I cleared my schedule and will wait till they confirm the part is in before booking anything. Been there done that too many times with "parts on its way" game. I've got plenty to do around the house to keep me busy.

Yep. And I really don't mind not going back out on Tuesday since that's the beginning of the settlement period. Still have the entire week to salvage a good check.

Only bad deal with dealing with warranty is that 1-2 day job taking it to my shop turns into 8 days because....well....Frelghtliner....nuff said.

Well. Did get delayed longer than expected. A second part had to be replace so I lost another day and a half waiting for the part and then looking at the board I decided to wait till tomorrow to go out. But even just working 3 days on this pay period I'll still book enough to cover expenses with a little left over. And it sure was nice seeing that bill and it saying $0.00 for the amount due.

Now off to Rochester, NY to test this newly fixed bunk heater where according to the weather channel no snow is forecast.

$0.00 bill is the best reason to run new equipment.

And snow needs to stay out of the forecast, since I'll be in Wilton, NY Sunday night or Monday and Johnstown Monday night.

Just been running the northeast and planned out through Saturday. Family Christmas party Saturday night then I'll Point the truck towards Texas on Monday.

I feel like I need to jump on the bandwagon here and say the load board is depressing as hell right now. I got pretty lucky booking frieght this week but to see 90% of the loads up here going for $.90 or less is just criminal.

Is it going to get better or is this what we will be seeing from now on? Just a dip or a permanent situation. I've only been at it for 2 months so it appears normal to me.
