who knows... if people start buying more crap we'll have more loads.
It use to be better here but has taken a nose drive in the last 2-3 months in my view and as others have said.
Last week I have seen it to be getting somewhat better though at least in the midwest where I've been.

Not really. Some of the short hops staying within the region aren't paying #### either.

I don't worry about leaving. I have found a couple regular loads to get out of at least to something better and I'm also not afraid to deadhead out if need be. I won't pull something that cheap out of principal.

Can't say for sure. Going on 4 months myself. There will always be cheap loads it just gets a Lille aggregating when 25 out of 30 are cheap

Gonna take the weekend at the parents then deliver one to Wilton, NY with an open window on Monday and planned myself out already to get myself home to Texas on Friday

Just one problem....the load I have scheduled to pickup on Thursday in Pulaski TN is a 2 stopper that picks up between 0700-1100 and stop 1 is scheduled to come off at 1340....353 miles away in Hattiesburg MS.

Called my ICA to look at it as I'm thinking it will probably have to come off and he called the planner and we all agree somebody has been hitting the bottle too hard scheduling that.

Gonna see what they can do about the 1st stop before they give up on it. Plenty of freight to get me that way and plenty of time to book it but this one pays pretty good and is light so I want to keep it if I can.

Has Schneider always had their company trucks turned down? Or is this something they implemented within the last few decades?

They used to be set at 55. Be thankful for 60.

Ran 55 until the mid 90s when they pulled the governers, then circa 2003 new safety guy cut us back down. Cut DOT reportable accidents (rear-ends, rollovers, etc) by a significant amount (like 30-40%).

    PoleCrusher Thanks this.

Yea I guess if they had more to the company to make drivers want to stay more than 1-3 years, they wouldn't need to constantly hire new ones to mess up their equipment. I wonder what the % of drivers that have more than a year experience with Schneider that get into accidents is compared to those with less than a year that get into accidents.
