I drove for May Trucking for almost 2 years out their Pensacola terminal. They’re not bad to get some experience with.

Just stay out of their POS soup kitchen drivers lounges. In fact, stay out of the terminals as much as possible. But, that probably applies anywhere you go.

I agree. Especially if your girlfriend stuck with you and you’re still together. It’s work, but pays well.

Their lounges weren't too bad, nothing repulsive that I saw, just that they weren't overly comfy, except for the one in Idaho was ok as long as there weren't more than about 3 people in it. But in Salem you've got those round tables with the plastic chairs, I'd rather sit in my truck.

The worst facility I was ever in was the Heartless terminal in Dallas. The shower may as well have been a swamp inside of a cave. Glad I never actually worked for those sorry SOB's.

Sorry I forgot to add that I live in California. The central valley to be exact so that puts a lot of companies out of the equation like Stephen, TMC Magnum USA Truck etc. I was pretty bummed to find out TMC and Magnum don't hire out of my State even though they both seemed to be governed slow as hell

Jim Palmer, which is also Wilson Logistics. They have a regional that Ca. Is part of.
I’d still rather Food Service. It’s a good job.

Looks like US Foods and Cemex are off the table, having not driven a 10 speed since I got my CDL in October is an issue with them.

Do you owe WE any money? 4 months of experience is close to none, but you are a step ahead of a stone cold rookie. I would recommend contacting a Swift recruiter. They have tons of freight in California. You really need to get a year or two under your belt with one company. Don't believe all of the nonsense you hear about Swift. There are a couple of current and a few former Swifties on this forum. I feel it is a good choice to set a solid foundation in this industry. Good luck

Where do you live? J&R Schugel always looking for drivers, we have a "training program" for new drivers. We run all 48 plus we have local and regional runs, pretty much ALL NEW EQUIPMENT, 2019-2021 Kenworth T680 or International LTs
