and no Knight didn't pay for idleaire. In fact, they won't even pay drivers what they earned. In fact they even go a step further and set the trucks to not idle. Because they are so appreciative of their drivers.

Heh, heh. I read the first post in this thread, for the first time in a very long time. Seems the OP didn't last for very long:

Don't know if we made him mad, or if he took off the rose colored glasses he was looking at Knight through. (Yeah, I know, awkward sentence structure...):biggrin_2557:

I'd be willing to bet Knight stole some money from him in the form of unpaid layover, reimbursements, detention, or all the above. He could have also discovered that his terminal manager is a bold face lier and a worthless human being. Still even he could have got tired of trying to make it by a Knight shop when they just happened to be there or emptied out on a Friday night and waited until Monday for his next load. They could have kept him out for 3 weeks and only run him 2300 miles in that time. Perhaps he got tired of catering to Knights uber retarded customers that are looking for value or maybe blew a drive and was told it's still in spec. He could of also grown tired of calling payroll trying to correct problems in the form of getting what was his. But I'd be willing to bet he idled on a 30 degree night only to wake up to a slower truck and realized that he had been penalized for insuring the POS truck started in the morning. Maybe he ran the batteries down by toughing it out only to be placed into a three way call with a driver that was not the least bit interested in driving out of his way to provide a jump start. Still even his dispatcher could have been an idiot who spends his days on Graigslist looking for a new job. He could have also tried parking a trailer amidst a yard jam packed full of out of service trailers. Maybe he realized that dropping a loaded Knight trailer is Knights way of telling you your done for the week, never mind your trapped a thousand miles from home.

It's really hard to tell with those complete fools over there at Knight.

Thinking of working for Knight ? Are you F'in serious ?

I think it's safe to assume your dad no longer works at Knight. They were good three years ago but now they..sift through the hundreds of pages of enlightment that we have provided here. Some drivers do okay on the West coast but if anyone tells you they bring home more than $700 dollars a week then they are lieing out of shame. Knight answers to the shareholders. They view drivers as disposeable and as your dad almost or did find out, is the facts. Don't even waste your time with these lieing thieving crooks. I swear Knight has to be the only company that a Wal Mart store manager would look at and say "#### I would even do that to my employees !"

I worked at WM years ago too. This was long before they got into trouble for making employees work off the clock. But drivers in general have little rights as it is then you get companies like Knight that exploit people to no end. Oh don't be thinking there's trouble ahead for them though. No sir there smarter than that. In an effort to CYA they have the whole system set up so that it's "in the best interest" of a DM to screw his drivers. Knight would say "Hey no way, I'll be ######! Well rest assured we will terminate that evil DM" Clever demons they are.
