I see yellow ( yrc ) is moving.

Here are my thoughts on Yellow. I made this meme TTR friendly.

 

any ideas why are they called yellow instead of called orange?

Great grab and thanks for sharing this. Usually I am skeptical of WaPo, but this article summarizes it pretty well.

YRC took the government for a ride and activist administration officials helped prop the doors open for this loan to pass.

All the money is spent and YRC got some cool new trucks and trailers out of it at the tax payers expense. And yes, they (management) paid themselves some generous bonuses. All of us drivers got a consolation bonus of $400 (which came out to $260 after taxes).

Not sure who that Muppet was that I argued with on another thread claiming that management would get no bonuses, but that person was wrong. They are paying bonuses with money that they don't have.

What a load of crap all around. And the worst part is that all the regionals are now lumped into this crap sandwich under the Yellow banner.

 

Maybe swift can buy us up!

 

They already scooped up Midwest Motor Express out west and AAA Cooper here in the South.

If I was an investor, I wouldn't touch the company. It's like getting married to a meth addict that has AIDS. You really can't spin this around and put a smily face on this.

 

Yellow Transit was started by the same people that owned Yellow Cab. The orange color came about because the company wanted a high visibility color for safer highway travel.

 

so my post sharing an article detailing how Yellow was able to receive the bailout is viewed as political by staff here? I briefly stated what the article was about and made no other comment expressing an opinion one way or another. THAT is political? Sharing news stories? And here I thought factual information would be encouraged here. Guess I was wrong.
