I Shift output bearing seems to have too much play. I was told this is normal. Is it?

It's a really good transmission. I'm almost at 1.1 million on mine, and it hasn't given me any issues. It has always had a slight amount of play at the output. There is a bit of a learning curve to getting the most out of it, but once you learn all the tricks it can do just about everything that a manual transmission does.
