Don't need the Dock info.. I need to know what device only.
Have you driven all over the US and Canada using the Allow All or just in a regional area?
I think I figured out a routing design flaw in my Rand device.

I drive OTR, and have been to every State in the continental US except Rhode Island.
Practically every time I have tried the allow all option, the device tries to route me through subdivisions, built-up urban areas, or lovely town road intersections with 120 degree right turns. -
But, there is not a issue with the Allow All in routing.

The problem I am trying to address here is the fact that the device is far too aggressive about following interstates when in interstate mode.
As I said before, the device will frequently add several miles to a route in 'prefer freeway' mode, just to avoid crossing a bridge that isn't a freeway.
When that happens, if you change the setting to 'avoid small roads it will route correctly.
If you legitimately cannot recreate that issue as described above, then my unit has a more fundamental problem. That problem is not memory. I have added 8GB memory to it, though there seems to be no way to verify the added memory. -
So if the bridge is not a FREEWAY, why would it want to get off the Freeway to take that bridge just to get back on the freeway again.... You are missing the point.... PREFER means it will stay on FREEWAYS till the last moment when it will have to take a secondary route to the Location. Hence ALLOW All, now takes its place so that it will give equal footing to either the Freeway or Secondary to your location.
You are missing Avoid Small Roads entirely... If in the Map Data the road is classified as a small road it will avoid it.
I CANNOT LEGIMATELY create your route since the point in time or location that you chose is unknown. The router will give me different routing depending on where I put my start location.. So, it is not a question of LEGIMATELY recreating your route, you have provided unknown information for me to do so.
Take out the SD Card, it is not needed and it has been noted before that if you use an HC SD Card it will interfere with the routing of the 730. The Slot is reserved for future use. The 730 will not call to nor use the SD Card unless the programs states such.
I have gone over and over the meanings and I have explained to you why it does what it does based upon the settings...
In the end you put what settings you like and run with them if it makes you happy....... -

I know that, I was out here when we had pay phones. I don't believe you are old enough to remember those days. Back when fuel was under $1 and the rates were good.

so before you pass judgement you might want to study up...
Oh BTW,,, This is a REAL working Pay Phone..... I have the key to open it up also... weights about 70 lbs...

Let’s not get into all that, fellas. It’s just great we have you(Mark Kling) to address issues.
Mark Kling Thanks this.
