What works for one person may not work for another. Inversion would have done nothing for my back problems, and only surgery would have fixed it.

Many years ago when I was in high school and running a paper route, there was an old auto repair shop.
The guy that owned it also had a bad back. He would tie a rope around his ankles and have another mechanic lift him with the chain hoist he used to pull car engines. He would hang there as long as he could stand it, then he had no back problems for 1 or 2 weeks. I guess he was the first to figure that out. I remember people laughing at him, but finally figured out, he was the smartest one of all in that little country town.

Do you have a prescription for flexeril?
That’s not prohibited as long as you show you have the prescription/bottle.
Of course not allowed to use while on duty/driving.

hopeful eyes, take it with poise and grace if the universe doesn’t want you to be a truck driver. My journey to not becoming a trucker is pathetic, yet comical.

Trucking looked like the solution to my problem of getting old in a well-paying construction profession. Even so, I had to do a lot of romanticizing of the job to convince myself that giving up everything I enjoy in life for a $1000/ week was worth it.

Granted, initially it would be new, exciting, and interesting, but it would eventually become old hat. You’d find yourself a thousand miles from home, sitting in a tiny box at a truck stop eating a microwaved pot pie.

Someone on this forum said you basically work 70 hours a week at $14/hr at a job that keeps you away from home for weeks and months at a time, that could also land you in prison if you make a mistake, much less destroy your career.

when people do not get the answers they wanna hear, they start new threads, and hope that new people read it, not the previous ones.

if it ain't "doctor shopping", it's "opinion shopping"....

Well, which sounds better, “Teeter Inversion Table” or “Big Al’s Inversion Table.”

Roger Teeter was born to invent it.

Now, I need to teeter-totter on my table for a time.

Honestly if you already have back issues I wouldn't start driving a truck, sitting for 11 hours a day isn't likely to help that any.
