Where BP is taken should not matter.I've had most mine taken while sitting on the bed because that's where the machine was located.Sounds like you need to start taking medicine.I'm surprised they even issued you a med card with high BP.Unless theyre more lenient f you paid for it.

    Great Story xHeavy.....

I remember back in 1993..I was in Bedford Park,Il delivering a Coil...In Front of me was a Black Guy under the Crane..I started bS-ing with him..He Said he was 91 Years Old.. I didn't believe him, He Pulled out his wallet and showed me his license....... I about Fell over- HE LOOKED GREAT for his age.. And he said Hard work is the key to survival.

    I Believe it.

That was the first time I ever heard of it, and I didn't talk to him long, he was mad, he was cleaning out his truck and smashing his stuff in the trash barrel.

You probably will get it from the satcom filled with bad words and mixed rantings against dispatch prior to quitting.

I cannot tell you how many times Ive recovered bobtails left for dead after angry quitters got through with it. Pages and pages of ranting to clear out of the satcom.

    Good news everyone!

Just got back from a doctor that specializes in this and I passed! Blood pressure was a couple of points below 120!!!! He used a manual BP device and the first time he did it, it showed at 126. He told me to wait 10 minutes. Turned all of the lights off and said relax while he left. Came back and it showed 118/85. I told him it was weird because the blood pressure machine I bought was showing a completely different number. He said pretty much all handheld automatic BP machines are junk and he hears all the time how people say the auto's have given them bad readings. He did an excellent job. Made me sit in a chair straight up with my feet uncrossed and my arm elevated with my heart and viola! So glad I got a second opinion. That previous jerk had no idea what he was doing at all. Terrible experience all around. How he is qualified is anyones guess.

    Thanks everyone!!!

    Excellent.

I go under the automatic every other month and sometimes they toss the results because it's not matching my overall presentation to the nurse. I would be all calm and it will be biting me at 145 over 110 or something.

Scratching my head on this one. Since when can a chiropractor give DOT physicals?

They always could, but now that they have to be certified, a lot of them quit doing them, and I believe New York just stopped all chiropractors from doing physicals ,

Never in my state, it takes an MD/physician or a practitioner working under a doctors license. Havent fed rule always required a medical doctor/MD (at least since inception of CDL's)? I've never heard of this before. A chiropractor is not a medical doctor or physician in any sense of the word.
This proves you're never to old to learn something new.
