I64 West through WV KY IN MO at night?

    Stay out of PA if possible. Way too many curves with unmarked sudden grades and they are sometimes very subtle and you'll be laying on your side before you know it.

    Me too. I might run back that way empty , only because I know the road, but -

    2 lane (look at crash statistics)
    At night (look at crash statistics)
    Small towns, cops
    60' long flatbed load

    Easier on me, the truck - 60 miles longer, and yup, I hate 71.

    Speed limit minus 10 to 15 on a unmarked coal road, more if it's raining or ice.

    Route 56 at Fishertown, if you came up a small hill eastbound through there and did not follow the cautionary signs you will find yourself facing about a mile of downgrade with a 220 degree 10 mph curve at the bottom. I ran that regularly up and down delivering to a hardware lumber store just south of Fishertown several times a week on ice in winter with a CL Mack daycab and a 48 foot flatbed. Loaded up and empty down. No trouble even if I borrowed both lanes at the bottom....

    PA does have a few goodies hidden in them there hills, but you generally have to be running through the woods near say scranton or the like to run into that. Most OTR drivers will not be dealing with that. I do offer one cautionary spot and that's Milesburg PA on 80, a 10 mile grade past Snowshoe. There are a thousand signs for miles telling you got a major grade coming up before you get there. If you come off it too fast, then I'll see you in hell... it's yourn own fault savvy?
