yes, a driver can go from NY to CA, but you would be restricted to how many hours you can legally drive.

yes, you get bathroom breaks, as often as you need them, but for me, on average, i would normally stop about every 2 to 3 hours, and then stretch the legs as well. yes, you can use the woods, but beware, that (i think) in all state's, if a cop catches you, you get arrested for indecent exposure, and in many if not all cases, you must register as a sex offender. so i'd hold off at using the woods.

yes, as with a bathroom break, you can stop and eat nearly any time you want. if you bring your own food, it will be cheaper than eating at the truck stops. and for the record, if you wanted to, you can eat in the TRUCK.

legally, you can only drive for 11 hours, then you need to stop, and get your rest. you really cannot drive (legally) past 11 hours

no such thing as auto pilot. some companies have a co-driver. but these trucks are not up in the air, they are on the ground. in spite of what you may have seen on the web, or on the news, self driving trucks are still in the testing stages. but i do believe, they still need a driver, in the seat just the same.
