FFE has 3 schools. Jackson, MS, Burns Harbor, In, and Lancaster (Dallas), TX. They have dorms & provide meals. They have a 1 yr contract but if you don't finish the year it is pro-rated.

Pay for new drivers w/ no experience start at $0.50 a mile for Linehaul (OTR)

My husband & I have never had a problem w/ getting off time. Actually, when my husband was on the truck w/ his trainer he became ill. He was hospitalized for two weeks. Had 1 1/2 months off to recover (was in constant contact w/ company). After he was cleared from a Dr. they put him w/ a local trainer for a week then he upgraded.

After he was solo for a month his mother had surgery & needed someone w/ her for a week. They approved his time off.

We were shocked he wasn't let go. Thank goodness after that we didn't have anything else pop up.

We have never had a problem w/ the dispatchers either. They have always treated us w/ respect.
