bi weekly, i hear ya but move on to where exactly? dont want to jump from the frying pan into the fire. i sort of need a good reason, i have to exhaust all my alternatives here first. had a few incidents today, cant really get into details but i honestly was driving down the road considering my last load as MY LAST LOAD. I figure i got a write up coming for no chock blocks and cones......anyway, long story on the bs priorities around here and i'm definately rebelling. yep fokes, the microscope is being put on me and i dont like it.
i would call first on a weekday and set up interviews.....or just come down but i dont think weekends are a good time to pound on dooors.
doing what exactly?
i agree to a certain extent, first off, what pay to match and for doing what? second, depending on the field, experience doesnt mean much. i think water hauling in of itself is extremely limited, its also one of the toughest jobs out here, its a kick ### way of making money and i love it to death but the ceiling is really low unless you branch out to kill trucks and winch trucks and even then, the money isnt stellar as opposed to putting in your dues as a frac hand or wireline or flowback, those guys can make really decent money after a year and keep going up to bigger and better things.
i hear they are also pushing for rear view cameras on all trucks now too? true, the rigs do have to wait but they can also call another company who isnt going to play by the rules, theres all kinds of renegade stuff going on out here in my neck of the woods. i had a co-worker/mope actually make me wait to start servicing a rig with brine water, i made an enemy that day, i cant believe the arrogance of some people, i laid into him and told him if he doesnt like it, talk to a super and let them make the determination and see who wins. i havent heard anything from it yet.
to be honest, i could get that 8 hours sleep and still get the hours in if i had a truck waiting for me at the yard, the bs here is unreal, the night time guys are told to bring the trucks in by 6 but the day time guys dont do that, when i start at 6, i concede to a 12 hour shift and that aint cutting it, once more, i'm in line for a truck and if mine aint here by then, i got to take the next available truck that comes in and its usually a transport which sucks balls. taking any truck you arent familiar with, even if its a vacuum, really slows you down, adds stress to the job. when youre trying to get 90 hours in and coordinating hours to do it and cutting into your sleep schedule, the last thing you need is extra stress and i been running that sort of program for months now, it gets old.
like i said, i wish i had a truck waiting for me and then it would be a breeze, once more, i got my 142 hour check and it aint cutting it for my goals.
I'm a stone cold rookie, gonna work the texas oil fields

6 * 16 = 96 That's log hours in your log book... 1 week That includes if you had to stay out there in the field and sleep as well....
40 * 2= 80(hrs) 80 * $14= $1120
56 *2 = 112 (hrs) 112 * 21 = $2352
These hours included on your log includes travel and down time and sleep time if you have to stay out on site.. Then new log day starts from the moment you get up and get a replacement out on site.. Your not doing physical work for all those hours I would say half is a fair mixture... or a little more.
Though your spending most of your days out on site; you still get paid and you can always exercise your 3 days off anytime. -
Myself; I think North Dakota is the place you want to be; for the money. Though newbies like myself are grateful to get in the door...Maxpetroleum called me today funny thing. I applied months ago.. They asked me to keep them in mind in the future..... /shrug
