Congrats on getting through training ONGB, I'm a couple weeks behind you. Also, thank you! As I've gone through this process, whenever I got ready to post a question, I found that if I looked, you had already asked and gotten the answers. I hope one day to meet you, and alot of the rest of the people on this board, out there on the road. Again, thank you, and be safe

I believe that all of us have been blessed to have you here. You have looked at so many things from different angles that it has made us, or at least me, stop and think about some things that we just sort of took for granted.
And I don't believe you could have a more noble cause. Helping each other out, really is what life is or at least should be all about!

Which just proves that you are human. Anyone who says the do not make mistakes is a liar. The key is to learn from those mistake, not to deny them. And I have no doubt about your ability to learn and to succeed in this business. (Or anything else you would put your mind to, for that matter!)

Sonny, I sincerely believe that your company, and the industry as a whole, will be better off for having you in it!

I remember when I finally got off the trainer's truck and was given 5 days off. When I came back they did not have a tractor for me yet. I was starting to think this (trucking) was never going to happen. But it did.

When I first got my truck I still didn't 'own' it you know what I mean - I was still nervous operating it in certain environments, like narrow streets with cars parked, or truckstops for example. My advice, just take your time and after a few days it hits you like an epiphany and you feel like if it can be done by the best driver, you can do it too.

Sonny, I was scared to death at first and heck I was with my husband. It wasn't until one night in a sudden ice storm in WY during the middle of the night as I was driving through these mountains where the roads would be bridges between them that I finally "owned" being a driver. I watched other trucks sliding across the bridges and barely making it across before going into ditches. I was scared they or I would go off the side of the bridges.

I made it and drivers behind me said "well done driver, i'm following iin your tracks". I suddenly was a driver. Okay so I was a driver that was shaking, almost wetting her pants and wanting to stop and have a good cry....but I was a DRIVER.

You're a DRIVER Sonny. And such a valuable member of this forum family. I'm just so proud you're with the same company as us.

    JustSonny Thanks this.
