@Little trucker gal I'll just add to what others have said, as an 11-year skateboard vet: where there's a will, there's a way! (So long as it's a safe way, lol.)
Keep up the can-do attitude, keep the shiny side up, and hammer down!OldeSkool and nextgentrucker Thank this. -
You should revise that to "I wouldn't be a flatbed truck driver."
Your job is a lot harder than mine as a dry van driver.
You have the spirit, I'll give you that. You go girl, wouldn't want to cross you, and all the other sayings that simply mean... you are formidable.Gearjammin' Penguin and nextgentrucker Thank this. -
120# tarp, I don’t think I could lift it.

I don’t ever remember tarps being that heavy.
120 pound tarp I don’t think I could lift that.
I’m 6’ 2”, 70 yrs old . Not a chance , I’d quit
And then I’d have to lift it up over the freight, not a chance.Last edited: Jan 22, 2025

Yeah, it's ridiculous how tarps are heavy these days, my tarp is about 115lbs, 120lbs when wet and frozen, it's crazyyy...Wargames Thanks this.

I'm looking to get out of that stuff and you just got a new Flatbed job, you're stronger than me, I'm going to Tanker, F that, I won't be missing my fingers getting numb while trying to roll a frozen tarp LMAO!!!

I ran flatbed for about three years when I was a kid. I don’t remember being that heavy. I think there were 20’ -30’ section tarps, though. I don’t remember man it’s too long ago. My memory is very very short now ha ha ha.nextgentrucker Thanks this.

If no else mentioned it, if you air suspension, evacuate all the air from the system. -
