Oh, as for your question about previous trucking employment; you'll have to list the company you drove for and resigned. That will show up on the background check anyway. You weren't fired, you resigned. No big deal there.

Chinatown, you are a god among us. A beacon of light in a world of darkness! Thank you so very much. I feel like I certainly owe you a finders fee whenever I land a job with one of these companies!

Thanks, bad-luck! I had my doubts for a while, especially considering the stigma of job hoppers in their first year, but I'm glad I made the decision I did.

Good point, lual! I knew I should have taken that test when I had the chance. Never a better time than the present, though.

    tscottme and Chinatown Thank this.

Get the TWIC and Hazmat endorsement.
No finders fee, we're just a bunch of truckers helping each other.

And just so you know, no reputable trucking company is going to hold that against you for leaving a company for those reasons that you stated… And if a company does then that company is it worth bothering with…you will find something rest assured… Just ask a lot of questions kind of like you interview the company just like they interview you… Get as much information from the companies as you can see you can make a decision that’s best for you

    tuckerdixon Thanks this.

So, you think this is alright?

What you needed to do is pull over to the side of the road, get out with the keys, and call the cops.

How come you left Old Man Egbert when he lit up? Did he bogart that blunt and not give you any? If so, you were right to bail out. That would’ve got me hot under the collar too!

Then he gets thrown in jail, or maybe only a citation, for accessory or whatever the leo feels like charging him with. No, the best option is letting the company deal with it and removing oneself from the situation.

Good advice and that's what he did.
