Time management is a big part of the job. Especially for you eobr people. They are just trying to help you. If you do everything 100% by the book you'll go broke quicker than MC Hammer.

While they can't force you to do anything, they can starve you out so you'll quit and they won't be on the hook to pay unemployment and better belive they'll find 50 people that will do what they say without question.

This is very rare for me, normally I take the side of the driver over the company.

An old timer once told me when I started 'Trucking ain't always sunny days and straight highways, boy' you just get another cup of coffee and get the job done!'

She was right. Log drop trailer/post trip as soon as you stop take your 10hr and be ready to roll in the morning.

I'm gunna bow out for awhile, I don't want you to think I'm picking on you so I'd like some other members to give their opinions.

I'm a loose leaf guy and if you saw how I run mine you'd have a ####### brain aneurysm. Lol

You mean take my 9 hour because in our case we just did almost an hour of work of the clock. I believe if you need to lie about how much time it took you to do something then you need to get better at it and do it faster.

Also, post-trip? Ha! Gets logged but rarely happens. Well, until I volunteered to do all the pre and post trips.

    Thanks for the comments.

Your trainer might be looking 800 miles down the road, and your focused on 20 yards. I tell everyone i train the same thing, this is how i do it. And this is how we will do it while im training you. When your on your lonely, you can do what ever the hell you want. Dont want to break the rules than dont. Companys backing her, you know there thoughts. So leave, or do it there way till your solo. That simple. Dont stress over 45 min, trust me thats peanuts compared to the #### your gonna run into. Best of luck.

If you don't learn to beat the government at their own game, you will suffer at times when you really don't need to.

Every long time driver on this board has fudged, tweeked, or flat out lied on the logs at one time or another. Some of us have kept our fingers crossed for 7 days after some of our shenanigans, waiting on that one DOOZY to fall past the 7 day logging requirement. ;)

But, with that said................your trainer is a dumb bell for not showing drop& hooks...and fueling.

It usually takes me 30 mins ti drop n hook, get paperwork, n trip plan my route. I usually log it but if I didnt, I can save 4 hours on my 70, meaning now I have 4 hours I can drive and make money instead of wasting it just sitting doing paperwork. The reason why ur trainer is doing it so u and her can have more time to drive n work. Or else you can run out your 70 in 5 days. (14 hours times 5 days)

Ur trainer need to show u on post trip
