Nah. Was asked by a guy at the Holiday in Superior. If I knew the company, since I'm a local driver in that area.
I looked at the address and didn't recognize it. Then I saw the state designation and pointed that out to him.

Driving along I 80 westbound in Iowa perfectly obeying all laws.
Then you notice a trooper coming up to your driver door telling you to pull off the road.
You know this is going to be a road side inspection and no words can express the way you feel.:banghead:

My reply: My company policy prohibits me from leaving this truck unattended. Here is the key (hand them SPARE key), I'll be in the sleeper until you call or knock.

(Delivery point is 10.5 hrs away, and I'm completely out of drive time for the day.)

Me: I'm going to be late due to mechanical.

Dispatch: Just do a split reset, that will save you 2 hrs and you'll make it on time.

Me: Do you know how a split reset works?

Dispatch: Of course I know how a split reset works!

Me: How long you been in this line of work?

    Dispatch: Why you!

Me: I'd like to speak with safety please.

Drivers doing lazy pull-throughs up front when there is plenty of room in the back rows....
