Just a couple of questions for those that have done this. I am looking to do this with regular 100 pound gauges with 2 pound increments. If they are mounted outside I will use liquid filled gauges.

The trailer axles slide so where the long lines are coiled up I assume that has to be a rubber hose there? The rest I can use the regular nylon quarter inch line.

I'm not certain whether I want to mount the gauges in the cab or leave them outside. If I mount them inside does anyone have a recommendation to what kind of gauges to use that would have the mounting set up so I can put them right on my dash?

Also if I mount them inside which type of a quick connect do you use between the trailer and the truck?

If I mount them outside, what kind of a mount would I use? I realize I probably will have to make something but I was just curious what you guys have done.

Save yourself a lot of grief. I mounted this on my headache rack about 15 years ago. Works perfectly. This tells me the readout for the tractor.
We pick up new trailers with this as an option. Unless you need to use the information with nearly every load, these external mounted mechanical gauges work fine.
Exterior Mechanical Load Scales - Right Weigh

If you swap trailers all the time, there is not real way to mount any gauge to determine how much weight is on the trailer tandems. You have to T in at a location immediately before the air bags, the PSI tells the gauge(calibrated in lbs) what is going on. If you have your own trailer, mount one on the tractor, one on the trailer.

If you want to get sexy, they have similar kits for mounting on the instrument panel. If you want one for the trailer, you would have to run a dedicated air line back to the air bags on the trailer.

I went with the right-weigh on the dash for the tractor.

App weigh on tractor and trailer to verify.

53 flat has a right weigh digital.

Its so much easier to just thread a tee fitting into your rear bag and thread a guage into that. Getting out of the cab is good exercise, no one needs a blood clot.
