This business is really so much up to every individual. I honestly would never recommend anyone going to this business in any way shape or form because it's just out of control the costs and the business just doesn't keep up with it. Along with ever increasing regulations, Etc.

But if someone wants to come into this business I would hope for their own sake that they are ready. This is not something for the faint of heart.

I would suggest that anyone going into this has some kind of an edge. Like you have a mechanical truck that you can repair every single part of it by yourself. Or you have some kind of really great Freight connections so if you go into debt you're certain that money is coming back.

Some people will come into this and like most people unfortunately for a whole bunch of reasons they will crash and burn.

Some people come into this and perhaps they're just so determined and they have resources, that they can overcome a lack of experience if needed although that's an expensive lesson. But that is usually a lesson very well learned.

And some people will just go into it and maybe they'll have a little bit of luck but generally speaking hard work brings its own luck and those people especially if they have the resources will probably do as good as anybody else or maybe even better.

Yes, absolutely you can only stand on the sidelines for so long if you really want to get into the game.

Insurance is cheaper in Iowa. The savings you would have over 10 years, might equal the cost of a home. MS, LA, and east coast can get pricey.
