Yep. Used a small microwave on a cheap truck stop 1000 watt for years
-
A 700 watt microwave will work fine.
I have a 900 watt microwave running off a 1500 watt inverter...It pulls about 800-1000 watts on the display while the microwave is on.Strange,it depends on whats in the oven too.Nate_K Thanks this. -
My microwave did not like a modified sine wave inverter. It would work, just not very good. My new pure sine wave inverter works the microwave much better along with everything else.

They do not interfere with electronics like the TV and CB radio either.
With my modified inverter I will lose TV reception sometimes when the microwave is on. -
Just googled "1200-2-10 Inverter." your post is the only thing that popped up. that inverter doesn't exist -
Well not sure but it shuts off after about an hour. Was charging my laptop and it went from a green light to red and decided it probably isn't worth using

We are supposed to have big inverters in our trucks pre wired... But I still have to have the engine running to operate my microwave.

Friend of mine gave me a power drive 1500W inverter. His truck cane with a 2000W installed and the list driver had left the power drive. Anyway, the only cables I had to test it were the battery ones that came with my power drive 300W. I got nothing on the display but the inverter did beep. I figured the wires weren't just a heavy enough gauge. I have my old 2 AWG wires figured I would use them. But this inverter also has a separate ground connection (smaller connection) I figure that one has to be hooked up as well but what gauge wire should you use?
