Turns put he had picked up the load about an hour and a half before his truck stopped. But it's pretty obvious that he wasn't eaten by the pigs.

I wonder why he turned north on N-14 (Union Ave. if you use the 911 address). And stopped at the intersection with D-15 (190th St. using the 911 address.) He turned right where he should have turned left to get to the hog buying station. He's a local and had been there before so it seems very unlikely that he was lost.

It's also weird that Mark Riesberg was found dead only 13 miles from where David Schultz went missing.

Riesberg was found while searchers were looking for Schultz. Riesberg had been missing since October 28th and was from Rockwell City, which is about 35 miles from the town Schultz was from. (Schultz locations in red, Riesberg in blue.)

I realize this may seem ridiculous to city dwellers (having been one myself), but this is a very rural area and is like a small neighborhood in a city. I grew up about 40 miles south of these places, and my dad grew up about 10 miles from Sac City, so it's very much my old neighborhood. People going missing is very uncommon, although unfortunately suicide is not (per capita).

Either his mind snapped from being under pressure or mid life crisis and just walked away full amnesia style whether drug induced or not. Or he ran away with another woman or away from something bad he got tangled up in and set it up as a mystery to vanish for ever under possible new identity. Or if by chance is foul play linked to the other mans death some kind of rural serial killer?

Your right a lot of people don’t get it .. they don’t understand the ties a community has with one another I kinda think you have to be a Iowa native to understand how this event makes no sense and all the normal & obvious things have been and were investigated before it ever reached the coverage it’s getting now

No disappearance like this makes any sense. I’m assuming the authorities might check his financial records to see if he had any outstanding debts or whatnot. Maybe he owed someone money and they came to collect-who knows?:confused3::dontknow:

We have a disappearance here, too. This guy is a pot farmer and that always adds a few complexities.

Complexity is an understatement, especially when drugs come into play! It’s possible he may have had a competitor. With marijuana, legal or otherwise the customers are always up for grabs! And sometimes the competition doesn’t like losing their market share!

Yup. Their way of solving business disputes is a total regression to the old six-gun frontier days.
The area I live in is just about the center of the Emerald Triangle. Our missing person rate here is almost three times the national average.

I still say dude pulled over to help someone and got shot for his trouble.
Dude left his wallet (with money) and his cell phone in the truck.

Maybe, but why did he go four miles north out of route? Makes no sense.
