I spend about that with all healthy meals prepped for entire week.
I know its nice to maybe eat out once a month or so, but I can now see why some who do it multiple time daily complain about being broke.Another Canadian driver, JonJon78 and ducnut Thank this. -
The only true breakfast is Waffle Haus
hope not dumb twucker, Another Canadian driver, RockinChair and 4 others Thank this. -
95% of the time my breakfast is this.... So once in awhile having a good sit down meal is nice. $5.40 for a glass of OJ certainly isn't a regular occurrence for me either, good thing most restaurants don't sell it

Another Canadian driver, Coover and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
We were wondering if the OJ was $5, it exceeded our expectations.
I don't know who or how anyone can afford to eat out now, just another reminder The OM and I are just peasants.Last edited: Jan 23, 2023

The Iron Skillet restaurants in the Petro truck stops used to be pretty good, though some were better than others... I'd routinely stop at the Joplin Petro for their excellent buffet, and the York Petro had a really good cook and kitchen staff back in the day, totally worth stopping for even if you didn't need fuel. I'd usually try to combine missions and knock out multiple tasks at every stop, but there were exceptions. I had a really good Thanksgiving Dinner at the Milan Petro one year... some of you older hands may remember that Petro used to offer free Thanksgiving & Christmas meals to anybody with a CDL-A, a nice perk which sadly went the way of the dinosaur. Too bad that the restaurants have gone downhill... it made a big difference to a driver when he (or she) could score a free holiday meal while away from home. Oh, well, this is the Brave New Fraudulent Third World, and one can't expect truck stops & travel plazas to offer such extravagant free meals anymore... the cheap b@stards, lol.
hope not dumb twucker, rockeee, navypoppop and 3 others Thank this.
