I have been at may trucking since Nov. 29 11. And since I have went solo, I have only been making about 350 a week. And have had a couple days each week of sitting around. Is this normal? The Warner recruiter keeps calling me and promising me 600-800 a week, but may also made alot of promises. What should i do? Are there drivers at Warner that like or dislike it there. And are there any may drivers that have this problem?

this is a down period.i would stay at least 6 mo. . a year would be better.you don't want a job hopper rep.take a good look at all the werner threads here, and decide who's telling the truth.

If you can handle it financially, try to stick it out for at least another couple of months. If the $$$ don't improve by then, talk to other carriers that accept new drivers. Tell them (the other carriers) that money is the reason you're looking elsewhere.

Stick with this forum! DIG for info about carriers. PM members who drive for carriers that you become interested in.

Get out. There going to tell you whatever to keep you on. It's the same reason i left Schneider 8 years ago and ever since i went to the LTL side of trucking--life has been sublime. Good luck...

That was my original plan, to stay 6 months then look for better. But 350 a week is almost insulting. Then by the time you eat and shower there isn't enough left for much els. I have the loyalty cards but they always have me fuel at the May yard. So it does me no good.
