I am close to London Kentucky and would like to run night linehaul out of London and I am wondering what company would hire a new graduate for that? Thanks and I love this forum. Look forward to learning a lot. Starting trucking school one year from now.

It's unusual to hire newbies for Linehaul. You may need to get 1 or 2 years experience first. Ask the linehaul company. You don't need the average linehaul job, you need the job with that company.

Don't go to CDL school until you have a specific job picked & you know you qualify for once you complete CDL school.

THERE IS NO TRUCK DRIVER SHORTAGE.

I started with Old Dominion at 44yrs old and was hired straight into linehaul off the street. I had 14yrs driving experience but none pulling doubles or any ltl experience.

BUT, you had 14yrs of experience, which trumps the willingness to run nighttime linehaul. You’re the perfect age, too. Old enough to know better, yet, young enough to not have health issues.
