Can anyone explain how a DVIR is handled on elogs if you do find something wrong?
I am using Omnitracs. If something is marked as a defect there is no way for a mechanic to sign off the repair. It simply shows a red flag until someone in the office removes it.
I am leased to a company and haven't had this happen, but other drivers have. I questioned safety about it but didn't get a clear answer. I don't think a mechanic signs off. They are just removing the flag. -

I advocate that a driver do his or her best to make sure there time is utilized to increase there safety and the publics.
Elog is secondary to safety as is the other mandates, safety comes first.DSK333 Thanks this. -
