Is anyone leased on to landstar with a glider or pre 2000 truck?

Don’t know, I don’t plan on buying another truck, but I probably could keep paper.
There were about 500 on paper a year ago, don’t know how how many are left.

most electronic engines pre 2000 can run a eld. The dot chose 2000 or later as most are plug and play, my 99 does not provide constant power, plug goes dead with key off. You have to provide external power to the eld to make it work .

I don’t see any age limit on trucks, just pass a dot inspection and be able to run a eld. Their liability insurance, their rules.
Most companies won’t lease on a truck over 5 years old. But they still hire only a small percentage of those that apply.
