Absolutely none, so what are you waiting for. Go tell the man with the money that you'll drive his rig, and you'll be proud to do so. Keep your nose clean, watch your back and go earn some money.

Congratulations. Keep us informed as to your progress.

Local is not all it's cut out to be for everyone. Some like it, some don't. I ran nearly 3 years local and came back out here on the road. I am 3 times happier running the road than I was on the local gig. In a sleeper is in my blood I guess. I love it out here on the road, I have nothing to ##### or complain about, and I'm staying right where I'm at.

At some point I am going to go otr, it's just while I have my 1 year old at home I'd like to be here to see her grow up. The nice thing is when I'm ready to make the switch I can with this company by switching over to their Reefer or flatbed division.

Well good luck with your interview and wave as your driving by for it. After a couple or few years doing local work you might not be interested in going on the road

This is very true. I drove for FFE for 4 1/2 years and teamed with the same driver for the entire time. now that i have been in a day cab and home daily by 4:30 pm for the last 19 years,my daily life style/ routines are established. i couldnt go back OTR, not that OTR is a bad thing.

So to update you guys on how things are going, I had my interview today and I got the job. Sunday I have to drive over to Spokane, WA to do three days of orientation and then I start work with my trainer next thursday. The company that i got on with said they'll run you until your 70 is up and your time off is you 34 hour reset, so it sounds like i'm gonna be running my butt off. It's a local job with a few overnighters here and there. Thanks guys for all the encouragement and comments.

Good luck with the new job. Hope you live pretty close to where your terminal will be as bumping your 70 all the time will get pretty old real quick. Anyway, congrats
