Be real careful either way. There are horizontally facing signs facing you at each intersection if your going the wrong way saying something like "No trucks" ... That was confusing as hell to me because it appeared as if every intersection I could not turn off the road I was on because the intersecting road was no trucks. -----just like if your driving down say..,, smith ave,, and u approach a 4 way intersection.. If u were looking for Sheffield st you would look at the horizontally facing sign telling you that the road your approaching is indeed Sheffirld st. This logic works everywhere I been to but not in NYC. That horizontal sign saying no trucks means the current road your on, not the intersecting one................ Go the hell figure,, oh well I lived learned.

That's was in New York New York. Manhattan. If u ever cross that Brooklyn bridge it'll say 12'6" but it is measured from the hub up, so 13'6" is good to go.

Know where the hell you're going and have two back up plans
You don't wanna breeze into the Bronx and get on the cb and say, hey, anyone know where such and such is?
And if you come to a bridge/tunnel that says 12'8 just keep going cuz you won't be able to turn around anyway.
    Bless you, my son.

That's basically what my 465T did to me...been using it since it came out (and never updated the maps, as I could replace the whole unit for slightly more than the map update would cost), and heading up I-69 N/O Evansville on my way up towards Indy, it finally quit trying to reroute me and turned itself off...permanently. Replaced it with the 570LMT before I got back home. Still has outdated maps, though, since US 67 S/O Pocahontas opened a couple weeks later. Since this one has the lifetime maps, I ought to plug 'er into the computer and see if the new stretch of 67 is on there yet...before this one gets fed up with me driving off-road too.

Sometimes you can change the trailer to 48'/96", but the height they have to go by what NYC posts.

    Weight and Size Limits
The allowed gross vehicle weight in New York City is 80,000 pounds. Read the full weight and size limitsVehicles that exceed New York City's size and weight limits must obtain overdimensional permits.

You can go into the Bronx with a 53 footer all day long , without 53 footers the hunts point Market would run out of food in about a day .

Also note the GPS maps do not know there is a upper/lower with the trucks taking the upper. So use the gray matter in this case...

It's not legal. Generally, nobody will bother you unless and until you hit something.

You going to the hospital there? Better get some pretty specific directions before you go. The railroad tracks there look to be 12'9" actual. You can't take the Hutchinson River Parkway or the Pelham Parkway either.
