My 16 yr. old son asked me, yesterday; "Dad, shoud i go in the military or pursue a civilian career?"
I recommended he do what he's most interested in. But since he asked, I gave him five opinons, but told him the choice is his and I support him 100% in either choice he chooses.

What, no Air Force option? I'm a 10 year vet of the Air Force, nothing against the Navy or any other branch, but you didn't mention any service branch but the Navy. I'm sad.
I hope he makes a good choice and glad you said you'd support him. I do assume you'd support his choice if it were a different branch of service besides Navy! (Go Air Force!!)

 

Air Force is ok, I just like the Navy. I have several relatives that were in the Air Force. Two were shot down and were POW's. 3 or 4 were in the Navy and like me; not all that gung-ho. All of us very laid back.
