Is my pay good for otr?

That's awfully generous.....many drivers would work for 50 cpm as it is. Pretty competitive rate, around average. I'd say you're winning

 

I don't even make 48cpm for all miles and I stay out 4-6 weeks.

You're making well over $72,000 per year as a truck driver and home weekly. A lot of drivers don't do that well after many years behind the wheel. If you think you're worth more than that, find a new career.

 

Any pay from OTR is good. Be grateful you are getting paid.

 

The grass is always greener on the other side. I've got a coworker who's always gossiping and complaining about the company and how he's talking to this or that company about all the great things they've got. He's been doing it for most of the time he's been here and hasn't left yet. It's pretty annoying.

 

For $72K per year I will sell my house and only take time off when freight is slow.

 

That's pretty good from my perspective. Im only making .30 cpm although itll be .35 cpm in a few days once I get up to 3 months exp.

My view is if you are taking home 800+ after taxes as a trucker that's good pay
. 1000+ is great pay .

Personally don't care about what anyone grosses. All that matters is what's in your pocket after Uncle Sam takes his portion..

1510 gross in just miles
3 loads/unloads a week = another 150
So I’m guessing 1660 pre-deductions about 1250 after same takes his... not bad at all
